From September 30th, Navitime Japan will significantly expand the registration function for "Delivery Information," which allows users to register and share detailed rules for each delivery destination, in its corporate fleet management service, "Business Navitime Transportation Management Cloud." In addition, a function will be added that allows drivers to navigate using the app based on "route specifications for entry and exit" set by the administrator.

Navitime Japan: Transforming its system from fleet management to overall transportation and delivery to support labor shortages. June 23, 2026 |
With the driver shortage worsening, efficiently sharing the detailed rules for each type of transportation and the tacit knowledge of veteran drivers, and ensuring the quality of service during delivery, has become a challenge for the industry.
The new feature allows for the sharing of detailed "storefront information," which was previously shared only through text and photos, using videos and map data. Furthermore, the digitalization allows for the aggregation and storage of information, contributing to the rapid development of new drivers into productive teams.
The "Delivery Information" feature now includes the ability to directly draw on maps and images to visually share details of delivery locations. On maps, you can draw lines and text using 10 different colored markers, and on images, you can freely place text in 5 different colors, borders, arrows, and more.
Furthermore, each piece of information (text, images, videos, files, etc.) can be categorized by usage scenario, such as "at the time of arrival," "at reception," and "at surrounding facilities." Particularly important items can be marked as "must be checked," and at the relevant delivery location, notifications will be sent via voice and screen display when the driver begins work, preventing information from being overlooked at the site.
Furthermore, administrators can specify entry and exit routes to destinations from their PC screen. Using intuitive drag-and-drop functionality, users can set the desired route, and the specified route is reflected on the app screen when the driver starts voice navigation.
"Business Navitime Transportation Management Cloud" was rebranded in June of this year as a service that supports the entire delivery management process. Moving forward, we will continue to expand our driver support functions and develop features that contribute to making drivers immediately productive, thereby helping to solve challenges in the logistics industry.
