NX Bangladesh, a group company of NIPPON EXPRESS Holdings, held an opening ceremony on September 16 for its new air cargo handling hub, "Nippon Express Bangladesh Air Freight CFS," in the Gazipur district of Bangladesh.
The new base is located approximately 10km from Dhaka International Airport and will establish a system that handles everything from cargo receiving and exterior inspection to weighing, labeling, and transportation to the airport.
In addition to 24-hour monitoring via a 360-degree CCTV surveillance system, the facility is equipped with safety features such as water tanks and fire extinguishing equipment. Vehicles with enhanced security measures are used for transportation to the airport to ensure safe transport.
Furthermore, with four truck docks and ample vehicle waiting space, the facility has established an efficient operational system capable of handling operations 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
In Bangladesh, with the expansion of exports, particularly in the apparel industry, there is a growing demand for logistics services with higher quality control and security in air cargo transport.
Driven by expanding logistics demand, NX Bangladesh has consolidated its previously separate warehouse operations into a single location. This new facility was established with the aim of improving the quality of air cargo handling and streamlining operations.
