On October 1st, Yusen Logistics announced that Movianto, a healthcare logistics service provider under its European subsidiary Yusen Logistics Global Management (Europe), has opened a dedicated pharmaceutical warehouse with a warehouse area of approximately 30,000 m2 in Wiesloch, Germany, effectively doubling its storage capacity in Germany.

To strengthen its pharmaceutical and medical device transportation services in the European region, Movianto has opened a large pharmaceutical warehouse of approximately 30,000 square meters in Wiesloch, near Heidelberg in southwestern Germany.
The warehouse is equipped with four storage areas: ambient temperature (15-25°C), refrigerated (2-8°C), frozen (-20°C or -26°C), and ultra-low temperature (-80°C) required for handling vaccines and other sensitive materials.
As a warehouse dedicated to pharmaceuticals, it complies with GDP certification (Quality Standards for the Good Distribution Practice of Pharmaceuticals). From receiving to shipping, pharmaceuticals and medical devices are handled under strict quality standards.
In the future, the company plans to obtain GMP certification (standards for manufacturing and quality control of pharmaceuticals) and TAPA (an international security standard for preventing loss or theft of products during transport and storage) "CLASS-A" certification. After obtaining these certifications, the company will be able to provide consistent value-added services, from distribution processing such as secondary packaging to quality control.
Furthermore, in collaboration with Eurotranspharma, a subsidiary of Yusen Logistics Global Management (Europe) that provides last-mile delivery specializing in healthcare, they will offer seamless healthcare logistics services in Germany and other European regions.
In terms of environmental aspects, in addition to installing LED lighting, we will promote the efficient use of energy and resources through the introduction of a highly efficient heat pump-based heating and cooling system and the reuse of rainwater.
Furthermore, the solar power generation equipment installed on the roof is expected to generate 3100 MWh annually, exceeding the anticipated electricity consumption of the site. This environmental performance has been recognized, and the building has received "Gold" certification from DGNB (a German non-profit organization that assesses the environmental performance and sustainability of buildings).
