Supporting the introduction of emergency power sources and other measures will ensure a smooth supply chain.

The "Emergency Power Supply Equipment Introduction Subsidy Program" provides support for introducing emergency power supply equipment to logistics facilities such as commercial warehouses and truck terminals, with a maximum subsidy of 15 million yen, covering up to half of the introduction costs (including design and construction costs) of the emergency power supply equipment.

The logistics facilities subject to these requirements must meet criteria such as "complying with the new seismic standards," "having a roof," "having a floor strong enough to accommodate forklifts," and "being able to accommodate 12-meter trucks (large) and secure space for cargo handling operations."

The "Project to Promote the Establishment of a System for Transporting Relief Supplies in Times of Disaster," which subsidizes a portion of the costs of relief supply transport training conducted in collaboration between local governments and logistics companies and other public-private entities, provides subsidies of up to 5 million yen, covering up to half of the eligible expenses, for planning and production costs, travel and transportation expenses, honoraria for external experts such as logistics specialists, and rental of equipment and materials necessary for conducting the training.

The grant decision for eligible businesses is expected to be made within one month of application, and the project period will run from the date of the grant decision until February 10, 2027. The implementing organization is NTT Data Institute of Management Consulting.

Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism / Second round of applications for the "Last Mile Delivery Efficiency Improvement Project" begins, until September 4th.
