On October 1st, Ryobi Systems announced a business partnership with SENSY, and will gradually roll out new features that integrate SENSY's AI demand forecasting technology with its core system for the apparel industry, "Sunny-Side," starting in March 2027.
By combining sales, inventory, and revenue data accumulated in Sunny-Side with SENSY's demand forecasting technology, the system supports product demand forecasting, ordering planning, inter-store product transfers, and markdown (price reduction) decisions.
In particular, it can also predict the initial production volume (first lot) of new products with no sales history. This helps to mitigate lost sales opportunities due to excess inventory or stockouts, even for new products where demand forecasting is difficult.
This integration with AI demand forecasting capabilities allows for data-driven optimization of everything from product planning (merchandising planning) to sales and inventory management.
Going forward, we are considering strengthening our collaboration with logistics-related solutions, aiming to develop a data utilization platform that provides integrated support from MD planning and procurement to logistics, sales, and store operations.
