SG Moving, a company within the SG Holdings Group that handles the installation and transportation of large home appliances, announced on August 1rd that it has signed "agreements on cooperation and collaboration" with three new local governments.
The six municipalities are Yorii Town in Saitama Prefecture, Kasugai City in Aichi Prefecture, Ibaraki City in Osaka Prefecture, Awaji City in Hyogo Prefecture, Oda City in Shimane Prefecture, and Yonabaru Town in Okinawa Prefecture. This brings the total number of municipalities participating in the "large appliance recycling service" to 233 (approximately 1556 million people).
This service is provided by Linnet Japan Recycle, a company that operates a small appliance recycling business.
Under the agreement, residents can request collection via the internet or telephone, and the service provider will visit at the requested date and time. A wide variety of home appliances can be collected, from large items such as televisions, refrigerators, and washing machines to smaller items such as microwave ovens, rice cookers, computers, and hair dryers. Large appliances can also be removed from inside the house (such as the living room or kitchen).
