On October 2nd, GLP Japan (Marq) held a completion ceremony for "Marq Kumamoto Kikuchi," a logistics facility exclusively for Seino Super Express (SSX) with a total floor area of 18,119.86 m2, in Kikuchi City, Kumamoto Prefecture.
"Marq Kumamoto Kikuchi" is a two-story box-type logistics facility. The first floor has a single-sided loading dock that can accommodate 19 10-ton trucks and 29 4-ton trucks, and the warehouse is equipped with two vertical conveyors and two cargo elevators, enabling efficient logistics operations for tenant companies.
The warehouse will be equipped with a full-fledged air conditioning system to meet the needs of handling precision equipment, and will also provide a comfortable working environment with employee break rooms, a kitchenette, and parking space for approximately 100 passenger cars.
Located in Asahishikawabe, Kikuchi City, Kumamoto Prefecture, within a 10-minute radius of factories of semiconductor-related companies, including TSMC subsidiary JASM, and approximately 12km from Kumamoto Airport and 15km from the Kumamoto Interchange on the Kyushu Expressway, it boasts the convenience of being a wide-area distribution hub covering the entire Kyushu region.
SSX is planned to be used as a logistics hub for precision equipment and temperature-controlled products. In addition to its excellent location, the company highly valued SSX's ability to flexibly propose solutions to meet its needs and its soft services such as "Marq Concierge," which facilitates mutual matching between shippers and other companies, and decided to move in.
In addition to using well water as a response to disasters, the facility has installed infiltration ditches for rainwater treatment. These not only prevent flooding during heavy rains but also serve as a recharge system to replenish groundwater veins. This creates a circular, sustainable facility that not only "uses" but also "nurtures" valuable groundwater resources.
Furthermore, the adoption of highly insulated exterior wall panels and roofing helps maintain a comfortable interior environment and contributes to reducing the air conditioning load.
Furthermore, the use of highly insulated exterior wall panels and a highly insulated roof reduces the air conditioning load. The introduction of LED lighting throughout the building, motion sensors, and EV chargers further contributes to reducing CO2 emissions. As a result, the building has obtained environmental certifications such as "CASBEE" A rank, "BELS" 6 stars, and "ZEB Ready."
