Japan Post announced on October 2nd that it has acquired a new logistics facility in Shinsuna, Koto Ward, Tokyo, in order to promote real estate development in conjunction with the reorganization of its delivery and collection centers.
The acquired logistics facility is a five-story building with a total floor area of approximately 150,000 square meters, and the adjacent New Tokyo Post Office will be operated as an integrated logistics hub.
Furthermore, the plan aims to reorganize the collection and delivery functions at post offices in Tokyo, such as the Ginza Post Office and the Kyobashi Post Office, while also strengthening inter-company logistics.
Going forward, we aim to enhance our value as a comprehensive logistics company by strengthening collaboration with our group company, Japan Post Transportation Tokyo Branch, and creating synergies.
